This short film was produced by Sanae Yamamoto (real name: Zenjiro Yamamoto), who later became the president of Nippon Doga Co., Ltd. (the predecessor of Toei Animation). As the title suggests, the film aimed to convey the bravery of the Japanese military to children. Originally affiliated with Kitayama Film Production, Yamamoto became independent in 1925 and established Yamamoto Manga Production. While creating works based on folktales such as "The Mountain Where Old Women Are Abandoned," "Ushiwakamaru," and "Momotaro," he also produced numerous educational animations during the pre-war and wartime periods, including this film, "Spy Annihilation," and "My Time of Crisis."
