浦岛太郎

An anime film created by Seitaro Kitayama, one of the founders of domestic Japanese anime films. It was released at the Asakusa Opera House on February 1, 1918. As mentioned below, due to the existence of a film presumed to be this work, it was considered the second oldest surviving domestic Japanese animation. While the film itself does not survive, a 2017 investigation by Nue Shinmi confirmed the existence of 18 still plates from this work published in a magazine.
