The first volume was released on December 18, 1999, with subsequent volumes released every other month (available on VHS, LaserDisc, and DVD, though the compilation released on January 25, 2001, had no LD version), totaling 6 volumes. Notably, the first press editions of each volume included a holographic trading card, and when all 6 cards are combined, they form a single picture.
Although some staff titles differed from the 18+ OVA version, the majority of the production team continued to participate. Reflecting on the fact that one of the heroines, Enomoto Tsukasa, had no screen time in the 18+ OVA, she was elevated to a main character level in this version. However, her personality underwent a drastic transformation, and she is no longer the so-called "boku shojo" (tomboyish girl). Aside from her love for cosplay, her personality is almost entirely different. Other original characters were also added.
In terms of the scenario progression, Enomoto Tsukasa and Hinomori Azusa are alternately assigned as the heroines for each volume, while the other female staff members remain in supporting roles. On the other hand, while the original game "Pia2" covers a story spanning about one month in the latter half of summer, this OVA's story—the part-time work period of the protagonist Maeda Koji—extends for about half a year until February of the following year, with the seasons gradually changing. Consequently, it naturally does not align with the content of Pia2.2, which was released the following year, and there is no birth of the third store or personnel transfers for Yusuke and Aoi. In addition to the aforementioned changes to Tsukasa, the personalities and roles of Aoi and Masashi were also significantly altered. Various travel and date events from the Pia2 scenario were merged, reorganized, and arranged in various ways.
