Grell and Enen are studying at the Fairy School to become Pretty Cure fairies. Recognizing their hard work, their teacher entrusts them with a task: to investigate and add information about the newly born "Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!" to the Pretty Cure textbook. Having no idea where to find these new Pretty Cures, the two decide to visit Solitia, where the "Dokidoki! Pretty Cure" members who once helped them reside, and reunite with Mana and the others. Then, Charles contacts Ribbon, the fairy of Happiness Charge, and they arrange to meet. On the day of the meeting, Mana and the others grow puzzled as their counterparts fail to appear. Just then, Ribbon arrives in a panic, urgently asking them to come. Visiting the Blue Sky Kingdom embassy, they find Megumi, who fell into a deep sleep the moment she dozed off and won't wake up, and Hime struggling to rouse her. Megumi's condition is identical to the sudden phenomenon spreading among children, reported on the news displayed on the street vision screen at the meeting spot—children falling into an unwakeable sleep. Blue senses that Megumi is trapped in the world of dreams and sends Hime and Mana's group into that world. There, they find Megumi playing, along with the sleeping children from the news reports. They also encounter Yumeta, a dream fairy and a friend of Grell and Enen from Fairy School. As they try to learn the situation, Yumeta's mother, Maamu, blocks their way. Determined to create friends for her beloved son in the dream world, she refuses to allow any interference and drives the Pretty Cures away. Returning to the real world, Mana, Megumi, and the others contact the senior Pretty Cure All Stars and plan to meet the next day. However, using the Pretty Cure textbook that Enen dropped, Maamu traps all the Pretty Cures listed in the textbook inside the dream world. Learning that all the past Pretty Cures up to Dokidoki! have been captured, Megumi and Hime venture back into the dream world to rescue both the legendary Pretty Cures and the children.
