Meanwhile, on Earth, the 65th Escort Fleet, with the newly reborn Space Battleship Yamato (having undergone its third refit) as its flagship, was being organized. The crew was also replenished to match the new structure. Among the young crew members were Tasuke Tokugawa, son of that Chief Tokugawa, and a young man named Ryusuke Domon, who cast a harsh gaze towards the Yamato. The 65th Escort Fleet's first mission was a courtesy visit to Gamillas and Iscandar. However, the situation changes abruptly when the Dezarium fleet, boasting terrifying super-science, attacks Gamillas. The planet Gamillas is annihilated.
