A sequel to "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," which is a remake of the monumental SF anime "Space Battleship Yamato." Based on the story of the 1978 theatrical film "Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato: In the Name of Love," with series composition by writer Harutoshi Fukui weaving a new narrative. This work is the fifth chapter in a series of seven theatrical releases, comprising a total of four episodes (Episodes 15-18). Having reached the legendary planet Telezart, Yamato encounters its former nemesis Dessler, and engages in battle with the Dessler Fleet, assembled by remnants of the old Garmillas regime. Amidst this, Keyman arrives to join Kodai and the others, taking a surprising course of action. Meanwhile, on Gatlantis, a new Savior awakens, and a full-scale invasion operation against Earth begins. Gatlantis, which seeks to annihilate all civilizations and life, clashes with the Wave-Motion Gun Fleet centered around the flagship Andromeda.
