What a leisurely and carefree day it is. Tom lies sprawled in the very center of the house, fast asleep. Just then, he sees his owner heading out the door with fishing gear in hand. It turns out the owner is going on an outing to the countryside. Tom quickly perks up, grabs his own equipment, and hops into the car. Although he doesn’t want the little mouse Jerry to come along, the clever little fellow still manages to get into the car and even throws Tom out at one point. After finally catching up to his owner, Tom engages in a battle of wits with Jerry, only to accidentally hit the owner on the head. Enraged and embarrassed, the owner turns around and gives the troublesome cat a good beating, completely ignoring the dangerous traffic conditions. Unfortunately, Tom doesn’t learn his lesson and continues to quarrel with Jerry, inevitably causing even more dangerous situations along the way. After a series of twists and turns, the terrifying journey finally comes to an end. They arrive at their destination, but Tom is still scheming to catch that pesky Jerry...
