"Children of the Sun" is a 52-episode animated series produced by Beijing Brilliant Animation Company. This animation depicts the story of the eternal conflict between the world of light, led by the Sun, and the dark kingdom ruled by the Scorpion Demon within the black hole, set against the vast expanse of the cosmos. The protagonist of the series, Weili Tongzi, is a young hero born from the essence of the Sun. Sent to Earth by the Sun, he uses his superhuman abilities to contribute to the advancement of human civilization. However, as soon as he is born, he faces persecution from the dark kingdom's demons—Black Wind Hag and the Octopus Demon. The Scorpion Demon, determined to annihilate the Sun's lineage and let its dark faction dominate the universe, harbors deep resentment toward Tongzi's emergence. Thanks to the immense energy within him, Weili Tongzi defeats Black Wind Hag and the Octopus Demon one after another, destroying their strongholds—the Black Wind Cave and the Underwater Demon Palace. As he presses forward in victory, launching an assault on the dark castle deep in the universe, he encounters resistance from Princess Scorpion. Her palm thunderbolts possess a unique magical power, causing Tongzi to suffer repeated defeats. Later, from Grandpa Clam, Tongzi learns that Princess Scorpion is not the Scorpion Demon's daughter but the biological younger sister of Tongzi's sworn sister, Caizhu. Tongzi and his allies then try to reveal the truth to Princess Scorpion, only to discover that the Scorpion Demon had already replaced all her genes, making her stubbornly refuse to believe them. After enduring countless hardships and dangers, Tongzi and his companions finally retrieve the princess's original genes, restoring her humanity and reuniting the sisters. United in their efforts, they ultimately defeat the Scorpion Demon, eradicate the dark kingdom, and allow sunlight to bring prosperity to humanity.
