This Korean animated series tells many Korean folk tales, featuring two magical goblins, Gaebi and Eumbi, who use their great powers to help people in need. Each episode is a standalone story. In "The Story of the Wild Boar and the Farmhand," a young man working for a wealthy man saves a wild boar being chased by hunters while gathering firewood in the forest. To repay his kindness, the wild boar devises a plan that allows him to marry the wealthy man's daughter. On their wedding night, a centipede spirit kidnaps the bride, but with the wild boar's help, he rescues his bride, and they live happily ever after. In "The Story of the Predestined Marriage," the beautiful and kind-hearted girl Yeonni goes to feed the fish in the river pond every day. One day, she meets a handsome scholar who captures her heart, and they pledge to marry, with the girl urging the scholar to study hard and become an outstanding man before proposing. After returning home, the scholar studies diligently, but the girl is constantly troubled by numerous marriage proposals coming to her family. Learning of their benefactor's distress, the fish informs Eumbi and Gaebi, who deliver a letter to the scholar's home. Eventually, the scholar marries the girl. These stories primarily convey the message that good deeds are rewarded and evil deeds are punished, encouraging people to do more good and kind acts.
