"Big-Eared Grandpa's Adventure" is an animated series jointly produced by Zezhou County's Twenty-Eight Mansions Film and Television Company and CCTV Animation. The story is based on the Twenty-Eight Mansions sculptures from the Jade Emperor Temple in Zezhou Prefecture, with Laozi's Taoist philosophy as its central theme and Mount Jue as the setting. It narrates a mythical tale in which the Twenty-Eight Mansions protect the Moon Goddess as she ascends to the heavens, safeguarding the peace of the universe. "Big-Eared Grandpa's Adventure" primarily tells the story of ancient times when the Lord of the Black Hole invaded and dominated the universe, plunging all things into darkness. With the help of the Goddess Nüwa, Big-Eared Grandpa, the guardian of the celestial realm, expelled the Lord of the Black Hole, allowing light to finally return to the universe. However, over thousands of years, the Lord of the Black Hole's ambition never died. In the illusory world of darkness, he infused evil energy into a small comet, shaping her into the Comet Goddess. The Comet Goddess formed the "Cosmic Freedom Corps" in the celestial realm, causing chaos between heaven and earth and disrupting the peace of the universe. Thus, Big-Eared Grandpa set out from Mount Jue, riding his green ox and accompanied by Xizi, following the celestial map bestowed by the Goddess Nüwa, and journeyed along the Dan River to recruit the Twenty-Eight Mansions. After battles such as forging the Big Dipper, tethering the sun, arranging the ecliptic, and propping up the moon, he finally subdued the Twenty-Eight Mansions, including Di Earth Badger, Kang Gold Dragon, Zhang Moon Deer, Zi Fire Monkey, Wei Fire Tiger, Bi Moon Crow, and Shi Fire Pig. Then, Big-Eared Grandpa wielded his Ruyi Spoon, commanding the Twenty-Eight Mansions to form the "Five-Colored Halo," leaving the Lord of the Black Hole with nowhere to hide. The Comet Goddess was also suppressed by Big-Eared Grandpa beneath Mount Jue using a scroll, where she reads and repents. The Twenty-Eight Mansions ascended to the heavens, each enshrined in one of the twenty-eight celestial regions, governing their respective domains and guarding the peace of the universe.
