The annual Christmas season arrives, deep in the great forest, Papa Smurf (voiced by Jack Angel) leads the children through houses decorated with candy and colorful lights, singing joyful holiday songs. However, there is one Smurf who is the exception—Grumpy (voiced by George Lopez), who shows no interest in anything and is filled with annoyance. Grumpy rudely rejects the invitations from Papa and his little friends, stubbornly staying in his gloomy, empty house. To help Grumpy experience the "Christmas spirit," Papa Smurf concocts a magical potion. A dazzling blue light bursts into Grumpy's room, transporting him to a world filled with Christmas joy. Yet, no matter how hard Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and the other friends in this other world try, they struggle to make him feel even a hint of happiness.
