The first large-scale 3D animated series in China with the theme of anti-Japanese warfare, this series consists of 36 episodes, each 15 minutes long. Based on the theme of resisting Japanese aggression, it tells the story of three children—Huzi, Niuniu, and Tiedan—living at the foot of Mao'er Mountain in Northeast China, as they outwit and outmaneuver a Japanese military squad, showcasing the indomitable spirit of the Chinese people. The series is produced using 3D animation, with exaggerated and lively character designs. Amidst the white mountains and black waters of Northeast China, there stands a steep peak with a very interesting name—Mao'er Mountain. Its main peak resembles a pointed felt hat, and legend has it that it was formed when an immortal's hat fell here, hence the name. At the foot of Mao'er Mountain, the Chinese Eastern Railway, which supplied the Japanese army in Northeast China and transported important strategic materials, winds its way through. To ensure the smooth operation and security of the railway line, the Japanese army stationed a small garrison squad at the Mao'er Mountain station.
