On this day, Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney), Pluto (voiced by Pinto Colvig), and Donald Duck (voiced by Clarence Nash), three good friends, are sailing their whaling ship in the middle of the cold sea. Standing on the lookout tower, Donald feels bored and is about to eat his sandwich when a flock of seagulls swoops in and snatches it away. Meanwhile, Mickey steps out of the cabin to dump wastewater into the sea. Although he checks the wind direction, every time he throws the water out, it boomerangs back, leaving Mickey utterly frustrated. Just then, Donald spots a whale and quickly alerts Pluto to prepare for the hunt. But at the critical moment, the harpoon cannon malfunctions, and the careless Pluto causes even more chaos in his frantic attempts to fix it.
