Truth is often not beautiful, and feel-good stories are far from the reality of this world! This is an era of severe overproduction, where books and knowledge are discarded by most like worthless trash. On the outskirts of a prosperous city lies a declining bookstore called "Golden House" and its rather lazy owner, Bai Ding (known as Old Bai). A panda named Jianguo arrives at the bookstore to apply for a job, and from then on, a series of hilarious and absurd stories unfold between the two.
