In her youth, Tigress (voiced by Kari Wahlgren) trained diligently under Master Shifu (voiced by Dustin Hoffman), yet she never earned his approval. One day, a formidable enemy, a wild boar, attacked, defeating numerous masters and proving nearly invincible. After being defeated, the mixed-species master came to the Jade Palace seeking Shifu's help to stop the boar, and Shifu agreed to take on the challenge. However, just days before the duel, Shifu fell ill from food poisoning after eating a meal prepared by Po (voiced by Jack Black) and was unable to fight. Left with no choice, he tasked Tigress with a scroll to seek out the Furious Five. Through a series of coincidences, Tigress returned with Mantis and others, and from that point on, the story took an unexpected turn...
