The world of Transformers: Car Robots exists in a separate timeline from other Transformers series. The story begins when the Destron Gigatron appears at an energy conference and kidnaps Dr. Onishi, a scientist. His son, Yūki, inadvertently summons Fire Convoy, who had been hidden on Earth. It turns out that the Autobots have long since integrated into the world, taking on various forms of transportation, and have established a network connecting Earth and Cybertron.
