The story of this film is adapted from the 1984 Canadian classic animation "La Guerre des Tuques (The Dog Who Stopped the War)," which was a sensation upon its release 30 years ago. It was screened in over 125 countries worldwide and received 18 international awards. "Snowtime!" is also the first Canadian animated film to be introduced to China and was the highest-grossing domestically produced film in Canada in 2015. The film follows a group of children living in a small Canadian town. As winter break arrives, to pass the time, a boy named Luke and a girl named Sophia, who has just moved to the town, become the leaders of two opposing factions and agree to an epic snowball fight. The scale of the snowball fight escalates as the children provoke and misunderstand each other, eventually turning into a snow fortress battle and leading to unexpected events. The town's large dog, Cleo, accidentally dies during the snowball fight, and this tragedy brings the children's war to a halt. In the end, the children realize their mistakes and discover the true essence of play—that friendship and happiness are the real goals of the game. All the children come to this realization and grow through the experience.
