In the deep, ancient forests where the Bulang people have lived for generations, there stands a massive rock. Legend has it that beneath this rock lies the seed of a demon, which, if released, would bring calamity to the world. For this reason, the villagers have never dared to approach it. Until one day, when the time was ripe, after a storm of thunder and lightning, the demon's seed took root and sprouted, growing wildly and uncontrollably. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a towering crimson tree. The branches and vines of the demon tree seemed to possess a life of their own, spreading recklessly, corroding the surrounding flora, harming the local people and animals, and destroying the villages of the Bulang people. A young boy named Yuduo, remembering his grandfather's teachings, risked his life to protect the village's sacred flame. After much struggle, the villagers and animals finally found a temporary refuge. They accidentally discovered that the demon tree sleeps at night and decided to cut down this malevolent creature. However, the demon tree was impervious to blades and fire. A brave little squirrel volunteered to find the tree's weakness... This film is adapted from an ancient legend of the Bulang people.
