This animated short was collectively drawn by the first graduating class of the Animation Department at Shanghai Film Academy, under the guidance and scriptwriting of instructor Zhang Songlin. 　　 The magpie asks who has the greatest skill. Upon hearing this, the fawn jumps out and claims it is itself because it runs fast. The little monkey, however, disagrees and insists that its own skill is greater because it can climb trees. Unable to settle the argument, the fawn and the little monkey ask the magpie to judge. The magpie scratches its head and passes the task to Uncle Bear. Uncle Bear says only a competition can determine the winner. Thus, the fawn and the little monkey compete to cross the river and pick peaches from the opposite shore. Upon hearing this news, many small animals gather to watch the spectacle. Shortly after the race begins, the fawn quickly leaves the little monkey far behind and soon arrives under the peach tree. Yet, no matter how hard it tries, it cannot pick the peaches. Meanwhile, on the other side of the river, the little monkey appears to be struggling with how to cross the water.
