In the eyes of a girl dependent on psychiatric medication, the world appears as a blurred and fragmented reality. The people and events from her delusions constantly linger before her, making it difficult for her to forget. Within this marginalized existence, the girl drifts between fantasy and reality, unable to discern which world is truly real. This animated short, which seeks to explore the nature of reality and the essence of life and death, portrays the world through the perspective of a young girl suffering from mental illness. The initial concept for the story was inspired by the director's father. Plagued by mental illness, the father often uttered incomprehensible ramblings such as "dancing on Saturn's rings" or "conversing with angels." Yet it is precisely this wondrous mental world, unrecognized by the masses, that the director has recreated in the film's scenes. *Caldera* is not only a work dedicated to the director's ailing father but also an homage to those "mentally ill" individuals whose minds operate in extraordinary ways.
