This film uses extremely simple lines to depict a fantastical story tinged with black humor. 　　 On Christmas Eve, an elderly scavenger finds a box by a garbage dump. After taking it back and carefully decorating it, he fantasizes about the gifts he desires for the upcoming holiday. Unfortunately, the weather grows increasingly cold, forcing the old man to take shelter inside the box to keep warm. In the end, a star enters the box and carries away the old man's soul. The film is filled with a childlike spirit, observing this kaleidoscopic world with boundless curiosity, yet the old man's eventual passing inside the box inevitably leaves a touch of gentle sorrow.
