On the vast blue sea, Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney) sails along in his small boat. Suddenly, the waves grow fierce and turbulent, causing him to lose control completely. His boat is swept onto a small island and smashed to pieces against the rocks. Dazed, Mickey stands up and hears the sound of drums nearby. Peering through the bushes, he sees a group of natives singing and dancing as part of some ritual. Above a boiling cauldron of oil, a black native is being forced toward his death. Thinking quickly, Mickey creates a monster to scare away the natives, saving the poor victim. He names him Friday (voiced by Billy Bletcher). Delighted, Mickey and Friday decide to build a sturdy fortress to protect themselves from the vicious natives. Sure enough, as soon as the fortress is completed, the angry natives return...
