Bob's wife Margaret is preparing a surprise birthday party for her husband. She calls Bob to remind him to come home on time for dinner. At his clinic, Bob deals with various patients and instructs the receptionist to spray all the plants in the clinic that have bugs. It seems like an ordinary day, but a twist occurs after Bob returns home. Margaret has invited friends and relatives to wait at the house. When she sees Bob's car returning, she asks everyone to hide, ready to surprise Bob. However, as soon as Bob enters the house, he prepares a drink for himself, then goes upstairs to change. After changing, he returns wearing only a T-shirt on his upper body, completely naked below. His wife urges him to put on more clothes, but he ignores her, walks straight to the center of the living room, stands on a box, and begins to talk about his frustrations and embarrassments from his early days with his wife and throughout their years of life together. He also criticizes the friends and relatives present. Eventually, his wife can't take it anymore and tearfully runs upstairs. Seeing his wife cry, Bob gradually returns to his usual self, puts on his clothes, and his wife follows him out with the cake, leaving the invited guests behind in the living room. This film won the 1995 67th Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
