Miaomiao and Mimi are a pair of kittens with opposite personalities—one is diligent and obedient, while the other is playful and lazy. When the sun rises and their mother asks them to get up, Miaomiao springs out of bed immediately, but Mimi insists on sleeping a little longer. While washing up, Mimi even starts playing with soap bubbles. The three of them go fishing by the river. Miaomiao sits seriously beside her mother and focuses on fishing, but Mimi chases butterflies and dragonflies instead. As a result, the mother and Miaomiao return home with plenty of fish, while Mimi comes back empty-handed. At the dinner table, while waiting for the fish to be served, Miaomiao and Mimi argue about fishing and eating fish. After their mother offers some comforting advice, Miaomiao realizes that fishing requires concentration and that one must not be distracted.
