Antarctica. A small colony of Adélie penguins. The females go hunting for fish, while the males build nests and incubate the eggs laid by the females. Many dangers lie in wait for them. There are blizzards, predatory skuas, and orcas. Within this colony, a son named Lolo is born to one pair of penguin parents. This Lolo is very curious. He wants to know everything, poking his beak into every corner. Among the penguins, Lolo has a best friend—a little girl just like him, named Pepé. Lolo and Pepé are together everywhere. They meet a puppy named Don, who ended up in Antarctica with one of the scientific Antarctic polar expeditions. Later, it happens that our heroes find themselves on a poaching ship, whose crew is engaged in capturing penguins. The friends manage to escape from the ship and free another penguin there, named Mak. Finally, they return home. Throughout the trilogy, Lolo grows up and eventually becomes the leader of the flock.
