As another hunting season approaches, the wedding between the black-tailed deer Elliot and the doe Giselle is imminent, but Elliot finds himself growing hesitant. Just then, Mr. Weenie, who has recently regained his freedom from his owner's restraints, is kidnapped by a group of arrogant pets attempting to drag him back to his mistress, who has returned to the forest. Using this as an excuse, Elliot embarks on an adventurous journey with Boog the brown bear, a squirrel, a duck, and others to rescue Mr. Weenie, launching a full-scale rescue operation. This time, they are joined by a new ally: Winnie, a domesticated German hunting dog who has just escaped from the control of hunters.
