Scarygirl

Abandoned as a child, the little girl Achi is raised by a kind octopus. One day, her octopus father is suddenly kidnapped, and Achi must break through layer after layer of challenges to rescue him. Her strength comes precisely from her one-of-a-kind self. "Scary Girl" is a classic character created by Australian illustrator Nathan Jurevicius, with the spirited Achi modeled after his own young daughter. This popular IP has also been adapted into games and other products. The film is executive produced by John Stevenson, director of *Kung Fu Panda*, retaining Scary Girl's signature rich, vibrant colors and a subtle stop-motion animation style. The two directors won the Australian Directors' Guild Award for Best Direction in an Animated Feature for this film.
