Marcel the Shell with Shoes On

Adapted from the online short film series by Dean Fleischer-Camp and Jenny Slate, Dean himself directs and stars as a human documentary filmmaker also named Dean, who moves into an Airbnb rental only to discover it already has occupants—a shell creature named Marcel, its grandmother Connie, and its pet: a piece of lint named Alan. Marcel is voiced by Jenny Slate, while Connie is voiced by Isabella Rossellini. 　　Marcel and Connie were originally part of a large shell family, but due to a mysterious tragic event, the grandmother and grandson now live alone. Dean begins filming their daily lives, which quickly goes viral online, permanently changing the lives of the two shells. Can this help Marcel reunite with its lost family?
