A plump cat clings motionless to a large tree in mid-air, with little birds chirping by its ears. Below the tree, a group of lively, hopping mice and a woman shouting herself hoarse—what on earth is going on?
This cat is quite different from ordinary cats. It doesn’t like catching mice; it only enjoys staying in the yard watching birds fly in the sky. As a result, even though its owner keeps it, the house has become a paradise for mice: when it catches a mouse, it releases it back into its hole; when a mouse is so scared it wets itself in front of the cat, the cat picks it up to comfort it, and later even chats and laughs with the mouse, becoming friends. In a fit of anger, the owner locks it in a dark room. Originally, the owner thought it would wipe out all the mice around it, but who would have guessed it would willingly submit to the mice’s whims, letting them carry it around to show off. For a moment, all the animals are stunned, and the owner simply cannot believe what they’re seeing. And so, an amusing scene unfolds.
