Chen Tianle, a first-year junior high school student, is an avid video game enthusiast who idolizes the heroic characters in games. In a digital immersive library, he puts on a device and enters the world within the book "Lovable China." Guided by the tour guide spirit Xiao Ke, Chen Tianle not only assumes various roles to accompany Fang Zhimin, experiencing the era of Fang's youth and adulthood, witnessing his life—from leading the Soviet area revolution to being captured, imprisoned, and sacrificing his life—and observing the poverty, backwardness, and social inequality of China's semi-colonial, semi-feudal society, but also, through conversations with Fang Zhimin and other characters in the story, gradually comes to identify with this heroic figure who upheld the ideal of transforming China. Deeply moved, he passionately recounts to his classmates the great deeds of Fang Zhimin, who dedicated his life to defending and building the Soviet area.
