The romance and beauty of marriage seem to be but fleeting illusions at the peak of love’s journey, while the daily grind of married life—the rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, and tea—remains the ultimate tool for eroding it over time. In a messy kitchen, the lady of the house, Yuliya, attempts to cook all sorts of delicious dishes in hopes of pleasing her husband. Meanwhile, at the dining table, her husband Viktor, engrossed in his newspaper, responds vaguely and carelessly to his wife’s calls. No matter how coquettishly Yuliya behaves, she receives no positive response. One day, when Viktor goes out, a little blue-clad man named Edward suddenly emerges from beneath the kitchen. At first, he annoys Yuliya immensely, but his endearing clumsiness and flattering demeanor gradually win over the lady of the house.
The icy fortress of this couple’s love slowly begins to crack, giving the little blue man an opening to slip through, and everything starts moving in an unpredictable direction…
