The Scarlet Pumpernickel

On a bright and sunny day, the Warner Bros. studio was filled with incessant noise. It turned out that Daffy Duck (voiced by Mel Blanc) was dissatisfied with being cast only in silly, comedic roles. He hoped the producer would create a serious drama for him. To this end, Daffy Duck even brought along a meticulously prepared script—a grand historical martial arts epic titled "The Scarlet Pumpernickel." In the story, Daffy Duck plays the beloved yet despised Scarlet Pumpernickel, a heroic swordsman revered by the common people but hated by the nobility. He despises evil, wields his sword with unparalleled skill, and remains uncaptured despite the authorities laying countless traps. 　　 To capture the Scarlet Pumpernickel, the king deploys heavy forces and pretends to marry Miss Melissa, who admires the hero, to a duke. Though fully aware it is a trap, the Scarlet Pumpernickel bravely charges ahead. This lengthy script seems to have no end in sight...
