"Duncanville" revolves around an exceptionally ordinary 15-year-old boy with a vivid fantasy life and the people in his world. Like most teenagers his age, Duncan glimpses adulthood on the horizon: money, freedom, cars, and girls. Yet, his reality is more like: perpetually broke, driving with his mom riding shotgun, and babysitting his little sister. He's nothing extraordinary, but he possesses a wild imagination where he is always nothing short of amazing. Duncan's mother, Annie, a parking enforcement officer who dreams of one day becoming a detective, lives in constant fear that her teenage son is just one bad decision away from ruining his life, and she will do anything to prevent that. Duncan's father, Jack, is a classic-rock-obsessed plumber determined to be a better dad than his own father was. Duncan's 12-year-old sister, Kimberly, is awkward, overly emotional, and capable of holding grudges indefinitely while patiently biding her time for revenge. She is all emotions, all the time, and nobody's problems are ever bigger than hers.
