On the vast, boundless Australian wilderness, under the scorching sun, danger lurks at every turn. Not far away, a blue-furred bilby, clutching a red fruit in its arms, dashes frantically for its life. Close behind, a green lizard pursues it with murderous intent. Eventually, the bilby evades the chase. Still panting and unsettled, it temporarily swallows the fruit to calm its nerves, then risks its life again to climb out of its burrow in search of food. Fortunately, it soon finds more red fruits, but on the way back, it encounters a fluffy white chick. The little creature stares with clear, wide eyes, completely unaware of the dangers and horrors that fill this world. The bilby initially intends to continue on its way, but as deadly enemies like cobras, scorpions, and venomous spiders appear one after another around the chick, it cannot bear to stand by and watch it perish.
Food or the chick—the kind-hearted bilby ultimately chooses to protect the latter.
