Thomas & Friends

The prototype of "Thomas" in "Thomas & Friends" first appeared in the "Railway Series" stories created by British Reverend Wilbert Awdry in 1945. This personified blue steam locomotive and his group of train friends with distinct personalities live on an island called Sodor, where they embark on adventures and grow together. Thomas is a lovely locomotive. He is a perfectionist who loves helping others, though his excessive enthusiasm often lands him in trouble. However, he is optimistic and cheerful, quickly forgetting unpleasant matters, so he is often seen smiling and in high spirits. Thomas has many good train friends who work together in unity, helping one another with diligence and passion. This animation was officially introduced to mainland China in January 2009 and aired on CCTV Children's Channel.
