In a corner of the bustling city, a building houses an organization called the "Bird-Watching Society." Ironically, however, it is home to the greedy and gluttonous black cat Sylvester (voiced by Mel Blanc). At this moment, he is peering through a telescope at the apartment building across the street. In one of its windows sits a birdcage, where the cute and playful canary Tweety (voiced by Mel Blanc) is also looking through a telescope toward Sylvester. Tweety has clearly spotted the big bad cat and senses impending danger. Fearless Sylvester charges headlong toward the apartment building, only to be soundly thrashed by Tweety's owner, the old lady.
