砍柴姑娘

This art film is a puppet animation. Early in the morning, before the little girl Qing'er heads up the mountain to gather firewood, her grandfather warns her to be very careful and not to get lost like Xiaoshanzi did. On the mountain, Qing'er cheerfully hums a song while chopping wood. Her singing is heard by an old wolf riding a calf, who begins to hatch a wicked plan. When Qing'er finishes gathering firewood and prepares to head down the mountain, she overhears the old wolf muttering to himself about eating her. She quickly hides in a wooden cabin, only to discover that the cabin is the old wolf's home. When the calf finds Qing'er, it decides to help her defeat the old wolf. What Qing'er doesn't know is that this calf is actually her good friend Xiaoshanzi.
