Children often secretly tear out beautiful illustrations from the books in the children's library when no one is looking, and the walls of his home are already covered with various stolen illustrations. One day, as he pastes a newly stolen picture of a woodpecker onto the wall, he gets into an argument with the little animals on the wall. The animals all demand to return to the library, but he stubbornly refuses to let them go back.
Later, the child enters the world within the pictures and sees countless books, each filled with beautiful illustrations. Just as he is delightedly admiring them, all the books suddenly close and run away together—it turns out they are all afraid of his uncontrollable hands. The child finally realizes that stealing and tearing pages from library books is a truly disgraceful behavior.
