Mother Duck needs to return to her hometown, but she is worried about leaving her little duckling alone to watch the house. So, she entrusts the little duckling to Mother Hen for care. At the invitation of Mother Hen's child, Little Flower, the duckling plays games with a group of chicks and becomes friends with them. When Father Hen teaches the children to chase insects, Little Flower and the duckling get into an argument over a worm, and Little Flower stops paying attention to the duckling. However, when the duckling runs off alone to the river to chase and eat fish, Little Flower can't help but follow and drools with envy. 　　A weasel in the grass frightens Little Flower, who immediately runs away. On the way, she remembers the duckling in the river and hurriedly turns back, only to find that the duckling has already been caught by the weasel.
