Heathcliff

Each half-hour episode is divided into two segments. 　　The first half features Heathcliff as the protagonist. Heathcliff is a house cat—clever and skilled in fights (even dogs are no match for him!). He’s always snatching food from grocery stores and dashing wildly through the streets like a stray. 　　The second half stars Riff. Riff is a stray cat and the clever leader of a four-member (cat) gang, with a white-furred girlfriend. Riff and his friends live in a broken-down car in a junkyard (that car can fly), leading a highly anthropomorphized life with a distinctly bourgeois vibe. In a way, his life seems more like that of a house cat than Heathcliff’s does...
