This film is a philosophical short story presented in 3D animation, exploring the meaning of life. The male protagonist, who has been overlooked since childhood due to his frail physique, develops a pessimistic view of the world. After achieving his wish of death, he once again experiences the wonder of life.
Produced by Ben Brand with the support of a film fund, the concise narrative technique enhances the imaginative space of the short film. The first half focuses on Mr. Small's life experiences since birth. From the photo album at the beginning, which hints at his neglected existence, to various "encounters" in elevators and on streets, the protagonist's actions evoke both sympathy and knowing smiles.
In the latter half, the short film reaches its climax, offering a "pseudo-scientific" interpretation of the connection between the afterlife and the modern world. Through the vastness of the universe, it implies the greatness of life while conveying the film's core message: no matter how insignificant we may seem, we are all winners of life who have surpassed billions of competitors.
