At the dawn of the 20th century, animated films began to emerge. British immigrant Blackton, working at Edison's laboratory, used chalk to sketch a cigar and a bottle, creating the "trick film" known as "The Enchanted Drawing." In 1906, he produced "The Humorous Phases of Funny Faces." This film is widely recognized as the world's first animated film. In 1907, he applied animation techniques to the film "Haunted Hotel," causing a sensation. However, at the time, people did not recognize the artistic value of animated films, and Blackton's attention shifted to other pursuits thereafter, preventing him from further developing his career in animation.
