Quest

A sandman lies in an endless desert. He accidentally picks up a water bottle, but it is empty. Driven by curiosity, he searches everywhere for water, but finds nothing. The sound of dripping water gives him hope, and he desperately digs into the sand with his hands, trying to find the source of the sound. Unexpectedly, he encounters quicksand and enters another realm—the world of paper. In this unfamiliar paper world, whirlwinds swirl with flying paper everywhere, and he constantly faces oncoming sheets of paper strong enough to knock him down. In this land, the sandman begins to feel lost and bewildered. Just as he is losing hope, he hears the sound of dripping water again, and his journey of search resumes... This film won the 1997 69th Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
