Anna & Bella

Winner of the 1986 Oscar, an outstanding animated short film. 　　Anna and Bella are sisters. In their twilight years, they sip red wine and begin reminiscing over a photo album together—a bittersweet blend of joy and tears. 　　As children, they played and squabbled, shared their school days, imitated ducks, and attended dances. In the blink of an eye, they grew into graceful young women, going out on dates together and partying all night with boys. Of course, there were also secrets forever kept in their hearts for each other’s sake—like the boy who left Anna only to turn to Bella’s embrace. Though they each built their own families and had children, always cherishing their sisterhood as the most precious bond, they never drifted apart. 　　Putting down the photo album, they follow an angel out the door, angel wings sprouting from their own backs as well.
