Closed Mondays

This film is a clay animation, ranked 74th in the "Century of Animation • 100 Works" at the 2006 Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France. 　　 Late at night, a drunken old man staggers into an art gallery. Surrounded by artworks covering the floors and walls, he occasionally exclaims in awe. As he focuses on or accidentally touches certain pieces, the scenes from when the artists created those works unfold before his eyes. The beautiful and surreal world of art brings him joy, astonishment, or a sense of loss. After appreciating the artworks, he steadies himself and transforms into a sculpture, becoming one of the pieces in the collection.
