American Dad! (Season 4)

American Dad!'s fourth season originally aired in the United States from September 23, 2007, to May 18, 2008. The season consists of sixteen episodes. The first half of the season is included in the Volume Three DVD box set, released on April 15, 2008, and the second half is included in the Volume Four DVD box set, released on April 28, 2009. The fourth season includes one holdover episode from the 2AJNxx production line, while the remaining episodes are from the 3AJNxx production line. Due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, this season experienced a shortage of episodes. Similar to Family Guy, the episodes that aired during the WGA strike were broadcast without the permission of Seth MacFarlane, as MacFarlane showed support for the writers by refusing to complete any planned episodes until the strike concluded.
