In the village lived Brother Rooster and Sister Hen, with Little Flower Cat responsible for the night watch. Brother Rooster went out early in the morning to hoe the fields, while the pregnant Sister Hen stayed home spinning yarn. As she spun, her stomach began to ache, and soon she gave birth to an exceptionally large egg baby. She hurried out to share the happy news with Brother Rooster. After Sister Hen left, a mischievous mouse sneaked into her home, ransacked the house, and stole her beloved egg baby. On the way, the mouse happened to run into Little Flower Cat, who frightened it so much that it dropped the egg and scurried into a hole. When Brother Rooster and Sister Hen returned home and were anxiously searching for the missing egg baby, Little Flower Cat arrived with the egg. Together with Brother Rooster, they devised a plan to catch the mouse, eliminating a menace. Brother Rooster, Sister Hen, and their neighbors sang songs to cheerfully send off Little Flower Cat.
