The animals on the farm are gentle and well-behaved. The obedient little dog, the adorable chicks, and the flocks of sheep all live healthy lives under the farmer's careful care. However, whenever the farmer is away, they suddenly stand up and go wild with fun. Singing, dancing, drinking beer, throwing parties—they even imitate humans and play tricks on them. Otis the cow is the most mischievous of them all, even taking up extreme mountain skiing. Otis's father, Ben, is the leader of the small animals, diligently standing guard every day to protect them from wolf attacks. Everyone respects and trusts him. As Ben grows older day by day, he hopes his son Otis can take on responsibility like he does and protect the farm. However, Otis is too fond of having fun and always disappoints Ben. One time, Otis begs his father to take over guard duty so he can attend a party. It is during this shift that Ben sacrifices himself to protect the chicks. Otis is filled with deep remorse and becomes disheartened for a time. Watching from above, Ben sees Otis striving to become a good leader and grow into a true man...
