The film premiered at the 42nd Chicago International Film Festival on October 12, 2006, and was included as a bonus short on the "Ratatouille" DVD released on June 29, 2007. In the dead of night, all is silent. In the heart of a farm in the American West stands a solitary house. The man of the house is deep in sweet slumber, unaware of the danger slowly approaching. An intense beam of light shines through the window, and the man begins to rise and fall with the light. It turns out a UFO is hovering above, preparing to abduct him. However, the one carrying out the abduction is a novice alien, for whom this kidnapping is merely a qualification exam. Beside him, an expressionless and stern examiner scores and records his performance. Faced with 2,000 densely packed buttons, the clumsy little alien is in a frantic rush... This film is Pixar's 13th short film, serving as the pre-feature short for the animated film "Ratatouille." It was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 79th Academy Awards in 2007.
