Produced by DisneyToon Studios, the computer-animated film "Planes" is a spin-off of Pixar's "Cars" and is set to be released directly on DVD in the spring of 2013. 　　John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Disney and Pixar, said: "In the two 'Cars' films, we have thoroughly explored the world of automobiles, so it was only natural to come up with the idea for this film starring planes. It will expand the world of 'Cars'." 　　According to reports, the protagonist of "Planes," Dusty, is a small-town plane who dreams of flying around the world one day, but he suffers from a fear of heights. With the help of his friends, he overcomes numerous obstacles and embarks on the biggest challenge of his life.
